Hope, hope-filled or hopeless…
Eyes open, it’s another day; do you jump out of bed or sink back in?
Me, I do neither. I just lay there for a minute, feeling the pressure, the actual weight that never goes away, like a lightweight blanket. It’s just enough to make me aware of something. Then I start to pray.
I pray. Thanking God for the very breath in my lungs. His breath.
Genesis 2:7 reminds me that my very breath comes from God himself. “Then the LORD God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living person”.
Now I can have hope for the day no matter what. I know again my purpose: to bring God glory because I was made by Him and for Him.
Colossians 1:16-17 “For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.”
How do you keep your day hope-filled?
Have hope for today!
